Dr. Sydney Meyer Serves on the Medical Team at the 2026 USA Gymnastics Championships

This year, Dr. Sydney Meyer had the honor of serving on the medical team at the 2026 USA Gymnastics Championships in Tulsa, OK, working alongside an outstanding group of healthcare professionals to help support some of the nation's most talented gymnasts throughout the competition.

Supporting Elite Athletes on One of Gymnastics' Biggest Stages

The USA Gymnastics Championships bring together many of the country's top athletes for one of the most important competitions of the year. Behind every great performance is a dedicated medical team focused on helping athletes manage the physical demands of competition while prioritizing their health and well-being.

Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Sydney shared:

It wasn't just about the opportunity to work at the prestigious event for Dr. Sydney, though. It was a chance to collaborate with other experienced providers, continue learning, and contribute to the care of athletes competing at the highest level.

A Sports Chiropractor Who Understands Athletes

One of the things that makes Dr. Sydney's approach unique is that she understands athletics from both sides of the treatment table.

Before becoming a chiropractor, she spent eight years competing in acrobatic gymnastics throughout the United States and Europe. Today, she continues to train and compete in Olympic weightlifting while also coaching weightlifters as a USA Weightlifting Level 2 Coach.

Combined with her education, including a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Master of Science in Strength and Human Performance, her athletic background helps her understand the physical demands that training, competition, and recovery place on the body.
